Phenex®-2 carries the phenylalanine-free approach beyond infancy, giving children and adults managing PKU a complete amino acid-modified medical food with added L-tyrosine, carnitine, and taurine normally supplied by foods of animal origin.

Roughly 30% of energy comes from fat to supply essential fatty acids, with DHA for brain and eye support, and the unflavored powder is lactose-free, gluten-free, and Halal. It's suited to ages 1 year and up, sold by the 14.1-ounce can or by the case below.
