Cut from very flat colorless micro sheet to a precision No. 2 thickness, this rectangular cover glass measures 24 by 60 millimeters, resisting moisture and lead-oxide-free for clear coverage of larger specimens on the slide.

The extra length is built for long tissue sections and elongated smears that a shorter coverslip would leave exposed. Its low brittleness helps large rectangles survive handling and cleaning, and it meets Interim Federal Specification NNN-C-001434A.
